Lena Reichmann-Langelaar, resident of Arizona since 1994, discovered her passion for wine while still living in Wiesbaden, Germany. Wiesbaden, a beautiful city in the heart of the famous Rheingau wine region, had been home for over fifteen years. During those many years in the wine country, Lena became a profound Riesling lover. She regularly visited the Estates, discovered her favorite producers and purchased directly from the wineries.

After her semi-retirement from the field of high technology in Europe, she decided to move to her beloved country of the United States of America. Lena’s career change, former Vice President of a software distribution company, was about to happen.

After moving to Arizona, she quickly discovered that her favorite Riesling was not available in the new home. Arizona seemed to be perfect for the crisp, fresh and low in alcohol Riesling. Soon, a new business was born.

Lena worked in Marketing and Public Relations all her career. After establishing 4 in Wine Imports, she thoroughly studied Riesling (and other grapes) for an extensive period of time before approaching the market. Today, Lena is acknowledged as an expert in the field and very well known for her professional wine tasting presentations as well as seminars. Although never convinced to become a sales person, today she is the driving force in sales and maintains personal contact with the company’s Distributors, Retailers, Restaurants and Hotels.

She maintains a professional but warm and friendly relationship with all her suppliers. It is Lena’s true desire to know the wine maker and the people ‘behind the scene’, because wine is a living product. “Wine is given to us by nature and perfected by the tremendous talents of individuals. I need to know these people before I ever sell one bottle of wine.”

At least once each year, the wines are selected directly at the wineries from the Rheingau and Mosel. Only estate wines and only the very best wines of each vintage are among the personally selected wines, year after year.
